Participants will raise sponsorship money as their team rows the equivalent distance to circumnavigating mainland Britain using a rowing machine. Working in teams of ten this should equate to a commitment of about one to two hours per week.
Team Categories
Each team will be asked to choose their appropriate level of ability from the following 3 categories at the time of registration:
Novice
Start in Belfast
Intermediate
Start at Land's End
Advanced
Start at Aberdeen
Team Size:
Up to a maximum of 10 participants per team
Sponsorship:
Each crew member will receive a sponsorship form for their own use from their team captain.
We would ask each crew member to raise a minimum of £100 if at all possible.
Teams are also encouraged to get a corporate sponsor for their boat if they can and this will be acknowledged on the web site.
Support:
It was generally found to be best for team captains to provide their crew members with the username and password for the site so that crew members could keep their own records up-to-date. However in some environments this is not possible and in these circumstances we would ask the team captains to keep an accurate record of each crew member's progress and to up-date the web site as often as possible.

During the challenge
Please remeber to use the forum throughout the challenge and to send us any pictures you have of your team so we can use them on the web site.
Monitoring Progress
Throughout the challenge we do monitor individual and team entries to ensure there are no 'accidental' false entries. The challenge is based on trust and we ask all participants to honestly enter their progress. We've added a meters to miles conversion tool to the web site to help make this easier.
